What is Biogas Technology?

Harnessing a naturally occurring process known as anaerobic digestion (AD), Biogas Technology can be described as a three product process:

• benign waste management
• the production of renewable energy
• the recycling of fertiliser.

Our Purpose

A Natural Solution

The sustainable process of the Biogas industry is underdeveloped in this country at present but can be seen as a major opportunity for a number of reasons. The UK currently generates millions of tonnes of organic waste each year that poses a potential threat to the environment, human and animal health. We are being driven to find alternative solutions for the treatment and disposal of organic wastes and to conserve our resources. There is now greater emphasis to reduce the organic waste stream going to landfill and Biogas Technology can do this while generating renewable energy and producing a usable fertiliser for the soil.
